Privacy
Fushi is an unincorporated project operating at fushi.ie. You can contact us about your information at tictactoe098@gmail.com.
Information we use
- Beta applications and accounts: your email address and chosen Mandarin level. You may also give us a name, a reason for applying and additional comments. If invited, your email is used for your account and invitation, and Supabase handles your sign-in credentials.
- Learning and review data: your progress, review ratings and history, preferences and any feedback you choose to submit. This lets the app schedule reviews and synchronise your learning between devices.
- Speaking practice: if you use shadowing or Freetalk, your browser transcribes what you say. Fushi sends the resulting text for feedback. The browser's speech-recognition service may process microphone audio according to your browser's own terms.
- Site traffic: Cloudflare, which serves this site, may process standard request information such as your IP address and browser details. Fushi does not currently run a separate analytics tracker.
Why we use it
We use account and learning data to provide the beta service under these terms, including the review and speaking features you choose to use. We use application details to manage invitations, and basic site request information to deliver and protect the site. For those latter purposes, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure private beta.
Where it goes
We use Cloudflare to serve the site and Supabase for accounts, beta applications and saved learning data. We use OpenAI through server-side functions to review speaking transcripts and generate word explanations. We use Resend to deliver beta invitations.
Browser storage and retention
Fushi stores your theme choice and locally cached learning data in your browser. Signed-in learning progress and review history are also stored in your account so they can synchronise. We keep beta application and account information while it is needed to run the beta and provide the service, unless it is removed sooner or must be retained for a legal reason. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information using the address below.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to processing, request a copy of your data or complain to a data protection authority. Contact us if you want to exercise those rights.
Terms of use
The guest level test is open without an account. The learning app is currently a private beta available by invitation. Applying for the beta does not guarantee access.
Fushi does not currently take payments. The level test is free to use. We may change the beta or its availability as the product develops.
Please use the service for your own learning, keep your account credentials private and avoid disrupting the service or other users. The placement result and AI-assisted speaking feedback are study aids; they are not an official HSK assessment or a guarantee of language proficiency.
We work to keep Fushi available and accurate, but beta features may change or contain mistakes. If you find a problem, contact us so we can investigate it.
